The easiest neck-strengthening exercises are called isometrics. These are done by pressing the front, back, and sides of the head against an object that does not move, such as a wall. During these exercises the neck muscles contract but the neck does not move. Each exercise is held for six to 10 seconds and repeated up to 30 times.
