Here's how to do a shoulder stretch:

Reps: 3-4
Sets: 1
Intensity: Light
Hold: 10-30 seconds
Rest: No rest needed

Starting position: Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Put your left hand on your right shoulder. Cup your left elbow with your right hand.

Movement: Roll your shoulders down and back as you gently pull your left elbow across your chest. Hold. Return to the starting position. Finish all reps, then repeat on the other side.

Tips and techniques:
  • Stretch to the point of mild tension, not pain.
  • Keep your shoulders down and back.
  • Breathe comfortably.
Too hard? Stretch only as far as is comfortable.

Too easy? Repeat the stretch several times during the day.
