A good plyometric exercise to develop power for the upper body is a standing medicine ball chest pass.  To perform the standing medicine ball chest pass, stand in front of wall with feet pointing straight ahead and shoulder-width apart. To start, hold a medicine ball with both hands at chest level with the elbows flexed.  Next, push and release the ball toward wall as hard as possible while not allowing the shoulders to shrug.  Catch ball and repeat as quickly as possible with control.
