Not exactly. This has been a myth surrounding women and weight lifting for some time. While every woman carries different genetics, for the majority of women, gaining extensive muscle mass requires increased levels of testosterone. Men have an advantage in the muscle building category due in part to blood chemistry. However, some women are prone to increased muscle mass - genetics ultimately determine our physiques- based on body structure, blood chemistry (hormone levels) and how their body adapts to exercise. Ultimately, women, even if prone to increased muscle mass, do not have the muscle building capacity to rival that of men.
