Perform a heel-cord stretching exercise by cupping or cradling the heel of the person you are stretching. Place your forearm against the ball of their foot and push their foot forward by bending it toward their knee. This helps to stretch the muscles in the back of the leg.

Next, while still cupping the heel of their foot, push the foot downward so that the toes are “pointed”. Perform this exercise with the individual’s knee bent and then with their knee straightened.
