How do I perform a dumbbell chest press with alternate-arms?

Lie down on a flat bench with your knees bent.  Place your feet flat on the floor, pointed straight ahead and shoulder-width apart.  Hold a dumbbell in each hand at chest level, slightly outside your body with your elbows flexed.  Press the dumbbells up and together, fully extending your arms and hold.  Return one dumbbell to the starting position and then press up.  Repeat the exercise with the opposite arm.
