When performing a staggered-stance, alternating-arm cable row, you want to first select the amount of weight you want to use on the cable. Stand facing the cable machine with your feet pointed straight ahead and in a staggered stance. Your back leg should be straight, while your front leg is slightly bent. Next, hold the handles out in front of you with your elbows extended. In one continuous motion, row one arm back by bringing your thumb toward your armpit and squeezing your shoulder blades together. Be sure not to shrug your shoulders or jut your head forward. Return to the start position and repeat on the other arm. Continue alternating arms for the desired number of repetitions.
