How do I perform a barbell bench press?

Lie on your back on a flat bench with your feet pointed straight ahead and placed flat on the floor.  Grasp the barbell slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.  Slowly lower the bar to your chest being careful not to arch your back or jut your head forward.  Press the bar up, fully extending your arms.
