Working your back muscles help pull your shoulders down and back so that your posture is tall and straight, which lifts the front of your chest too.  Try doing a stability ball dumbbell cobra by lying prone on a ball with dumbbells extended in front of your body.  Contract your abs and bring the dumbbells around to the side while lifting your chest off the ball.  Hold and slowly lower your chest back to the ball while bringing your arms in front of your body.  Your back, core and chest will all benefit!

An effective exercise for lifting the chest is the incline dumbbell chest press.  The incline dumbbell chest press emphasizes the upper portion of the chest muscles, which when developed, may give the appearance of lifting the chest.  Perform the incline dumbbell chest press by following the technique described below. Lie on your back on an incline bench with your feet pointed straight ahead and flat on the floor.  Hold a dumbbell in each hand at chest level, placed slightly outside of the width of your body with your elbows bent.  Next, press both dumbbells up and toward each other, fully extending your arms.  Briefly hold in the top position before returning to the starting position.  Repeat as desired.  If dumbbells are unavailable a hands elevated push-up can be performed as an alternative.
