Who should take phytomenadione?

Phytomenadione is used to treat and prevent both blood clotting issues and vitamin K deficiency.

If you have problems with your blood clotting, phytomenadione may be used to help build up the vitamin K in your blood, which aids with blood clotting.

If you have a vitamin K deficiency, you may need to take phytomenadione.

Phytomenadione may be given to reverse the effects of a blood thinner or following surgery where it was used.
