Follicular adenoma thyroid nodules are benign and generally not serious. They are treatable and often are undiagnosed because they are not bothersome. Follicular adenoma thyroid nodules are a non-cancerous lump that develops in the lower part of your neck. If they become bothersome, such as affecting swallowing or breathing, your doctor will remove them.
