Will having laser bleaching teeth whitening hurt?

Laser teeth whitening should not hurt during the procedure. However, it is not unusual to feel some post-operative reversible sensitivity. Your dentist may prescribe fluoride treatment prior to your bleaching to lessen this sensitivity.

You should not feel any pain during a laser bleach whitening treatment, but you may feel some irritation to your teeth and gums from the bleaching solution itself. The dentist inserts a tray containing the bleaching solution over the teeth and applies the laser to speed up the bleaching process. Any irritation from the solution, which typically contains peroxide, usually goes away shortly after the procedure is done.
