So many choices at a food court! Do a walk by in the court to first see what the options are.
Look for salads, vegetable or broth-based soups, sandwiches with lots of vegetable toppings and turkey or lean roast beef, marinara sauce for pasta, vegetables on pizza, fruit smoothies made with fruit, yogurt and milk only (without sugary syrups added), fruit salad, baked chicken sandwiches and stir-fries where the meats are unbattered and fried and have lots of vegetables.
Also, try sharing an entree with a friend since the portions at food courts are usually 2 to 3 times larger than what is eaten at home (I hope!).
Try a colorful salad with grilled chicken and not a lot of cheese. Get the dressing on the side and portion only what you need. Choose Skim Milk as the beverage.
Other choices include yogurt in the container (not the parfaits), oatmeal, and baked potatoes without butter or sour cream, whole grain baguettes, strawberries or fresh fruit.
