What is nasal surgery?

Nasal surgery is any of several procedures to improve your ability to breathe through your nose. You may need nasal surgery if your airway is blocked and you're having trouble breathing or if you have repeated sinus infections or allergies. Nasal surgery is done through the nostrils, so no scars show on your face.
There are several surgeries that take place in the nasal cavity such as a septoplasty (deviated septum surgery), turbinoplasty (surgery to improve nasal passages) or sinus surgeries. Generally an ear, nose and throat surgeon or otolaryngologist completes these surgeries due to difficulties in breathing that may result, infections or sleep problems.
