What are the treatment options for stage 0 rectal cancer?

Stage 0 rectal cancer is treated with surgery. Often, when the cancer is in its earliest stage, which stage 0 is, it can be removed during a colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is a routine exam, and removal of small polyps during this exam would not require a hospital stay.
