What are the symptoms of basaloid squamous cell carcinoma?

Dr. Jeanne Morrison, PhD
Family Practitioner

Symptoms of basaloid squamous cell carcinoma vary depending on the location of the tumor. If it occurs anywhere in the throat, mouth, or nasal areas, symptoms may include hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, cough, and weight loss. In some cases, basaloid squamous cell carcinoma may cause a mass to form in the neck, and people may cough up blood.
