How does basaloid squamous cell carcinoma affect the body?

Basaloid squamous cell carcinoma begins in squamous cells and basaloid cells. When these cells grow out of control, they form tumors that often develop in the oral and nasal areas like the tongue, larynx, nasal cavity, esophagus, and tonsils, and can sometimes develop in the lungs and anus. These tumors may lead to noticeable symptoms like a cough, difficulty swallowing, and hoarseness, and may eventually lead to weight loss. If left untreated, the cancer may spread to other parts of the body.
