How do other illnesses affect spindle cell squamous cell carcinoma?

Spindle cell squamous cell carcinoma (SCSCC) doesn't usually directly affect your body's ability to fight illnesses. Sometimes, if the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes, it may weaken your immune system. Also, certain treatments for SCSCC, especially surgery and chemotherapy, may also cause illnesses to be more severe because the body is weakened from the treatment.
