How long will I need treatment for my social anxiety disorder?

The length of your treatment will depend on your response to therapy and other factors. Generally, cognitive behavioral therapy lasts for between 10-20 sessions, but your therapist will tailor your treatment plan to meet your individual needs. Similarly, a person's medication needs may change over time, so some people may be able to stop using medication, while others may need it for years.
