How can I recover faster between pre-season soccer practices?

Practices are very intense with very little rest time between during the soccer pre-season.  One thing you can try to help recover faster between practices is soak in the cold tub or bucket following the conclusion of practice.  If you do not have a cold tub at your facility, make your own at home.  Buy 2-3 bags of ice at a store, fill your bath tub with cold water, and dump the ice in the water.  Take a few deep breaths to prepare your body for the temperature shock, then submerge yourself in the tub.  Remain calm in the tub for 10 to 15 minutes.  It is worth a little discomfort in the cold tub following practice to have your legs feel great the next day.
