How is sleepwalking diagnosed?

If you think you sleepwalk, chances are good that someone you live with told you. Unless you are causing harm or feeling fatigued, you may not need to see your doctor. But if needed, make an appointment. Your doctor might ask you questions, take a medical history, and perform an examination, as there might be an underlying medical problem that is causing your sleepwalking. It is possible that your doctor will refer you to a sleep lab for further testing.
