How does sleepwalking affect the body?

Sleepwalking affects the whole body: you walk around at night although you are not fully awake. Sleepwalking is not dangerous in itself, though sometimes sleepwalkers can hurt themselves or others during an episode. Although people generally don't remember having sleepwalked, it does disturb sleep for the sleepwalker and others in the house. Everyone may feel tired the next day. Children often experience sleepwalking, but many outgrow the behavior.
