Are sleep drinks an effective way to help me fall and stay asleep?

Sleep drinks that include melatonin are totally safe. However, data shows only about 50% of people respond to melatonin as a sleep aid, so a trial of effectiveness is worthwhile.
Sleep drinks contain natural ingredients that may promote sleep, but they aren't regulated, so quality and quantity of ingredients is sketchy. In this video, sleep expert Michael Breus, PhD, shares his overall concerns about consuming sleep drinks.
