What is the process for making a decision to have a facelift?

When considering a facelift or any cosmetic surgery procedure, consult with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon. It is vital that you are a Candidate for the surgery. The surgeon will evaluate for ptosis (skin laxity), jowls, neck laxity, lower eyelid bagginess and skin sagging, prominence of the nasolabial folds, and the forehead for brow ptosis, and upper eyelid skin laxity. Second, your general health should be excellent in order to undergo this surgery under anesthesia. Full clearance, labs, EKG, are required prior to entering the operating theatre.
