People with Atopic Dermatitis (AD) want to avoid doing anything that might irritate the skin, including exposure to heat and stress, or products containing harsh ingredients. Studies have shown that regular use of a mild cleanser and frequent moisturization can help minimize AD outbreaks by managing dry skin symptoms. One clinical study in particular has shown that people with AD who used a mild beauty bar, instead of regular soap, followed by their usual topical medication, saw significant improvement in their dry skin symptoms.
