Can viral skin infections be prevented?

There are definite ways to prevent certain viral skin infections, while others are harder to prevent. For example, not having sexual intercourse and/or certain types of sexual contact will prevent transmission of genital herpes. Chickenpox, on the other hand, can be prevented by vaccination; otherwise, since it can be spread by sneezing and coughing, it may be very difficult to prevent.
