Alternative treatments aren't used specifically for Kaposi sarcoma, but some options may reduce symptoms and help improve general health for all kinds of skin cancer patients. A balanced diet rich in antioxidants may be beneficial to people with Kaposi sarcoma. Vitamin and herbal supplements, especially vitamin D, may also be used in addition to a healthful diet. Some people with Kaposi sarcoma may benefit from acupuncture to relieve pain or relaxation techniques like meditation and yoga to relieve stress.
