How can I minimize pores at home?

Preventive measures -- such as applying sunscreen 30 minutes prior to stepping outside and avoiding peak hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) -- will help protect your skin from sun damage, which can make pores appear larger. Keep up with your daily skin care regimen, washing your face daily with a gentle cleanser. Look for noncomedogenic sunscreens, moisturizers and makeup, which are designed so that they will not clog your pores.

Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing to safeguard your skin from the sun's harmful rays.
