What are the treatment options for neurogenic shock?

If someone is experiencing neurogenic shock, the first step is to immediately call 911. The quicker the person receives medical treatment, the greater the chance of recovery and the less internal damage will occur. If it is safe to do so, lay the person down and raise their feet slightly off the ground. Do not give them anything to drink or eat. Emergency responders will administer first aid and then work to treat the underlying injury or cause.
