Is cardiogenic shock serious?

Although cardiogenic shock is a very rare condition, it is extremely dangerous. Approximately 50 percent of all patients who develop the condition will die from it. It is exceedingly important to call Emergency 9-1-1 if you or your loved one is experiencing the symptoms of a heart attack or cardiogenic shock. The likelihood of recovery is much better if the condition is found early and treated right away.
