  • Orgasms are caused by some kind of sexual activity, including sexual intercourse and masturbation. A person becomes aroused throughout the sexual activity, and an orgasm is the climax of sexual arousal. The pleasurable, pulsating feeling that most people feel during orgasms is caused by the involuntary contraction of muscles in your pelvis, anus, uterus and vagina (for women), and penis (for men).
