What is geriatric oncology?

Geriatric oncology is essentially the field of medical oncology that is dedicated or specific to the geriatric population (> 65 years old). In many respects cancer is still mainly a disease of the elderly (although that is changing) so one could consider most oncology as geriatric oncology.
