What side effects are associated with zaleplon (Sonata)?

Side effects may include headaches, drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, amnesia, hallucinations, eye or ear pain, vision problems, muscle aches, tremor, swollen hands or feet, abdominal pain, nausea, loss of appetite, and menstrual problems. Some people may have a serious allergic reaction, with closing of the throat and difficulty breathing.
