What are the side effects of butabarbital sodium tablets?

Minor side effects include abnormal drowsiness during the daytime, lightheadedness, dizziness, and clumsiness. In addition there are a number of severe side effects. Seek emergency medical attention immediately if you experience a severe allergic reaction, such as a rash; hives; swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue; itching; tightness in the chest; or difficulty breathing; mental or mood changes, including unusual thoughts or behaviors, hallucinations, or confusion; nausea or vomiting; fainting; trouble sleeping; swelling or tightness of the throat; slow breathing; shortness of breath; fever; or very bad dizziness. There may also be other side effects are not listed here. If you experience any other troubling symptoms while you are taking butabarbital sodium tablets, tell your doctor.
