Is flurazepam safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Flurazepam belongs to a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines. Some benzodiazepines have been linked to birth defects, but there is little research suggesting whether flurazepam is safe to use during pregnancy. Flurazepam can pass into breast milk. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
