How does Lunesta interact with other medications or foods?

High-fat foods can interfere with the effectiveness of Lunesta. Alcoholic beverages may cause side effects of Lunesta that are more troublesome or severe than normal. In addition, certain herbal supplements may interact negatively with Lunesta, n=including kava kava and St John’s wort. Medications such as lorazepam and olanzapine, and some medications used to treat fungal infections, can also interact with Lunesta. Your doctor needs to know all the other medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements you take, to make sure these do not produce harmful side effects when combined with Lunesta.
