Does ramelteon interact with any other medications?

Donna Hill Howes, RN
Family Practitioner

If you are using azelastine nasal spray, fluvoxamine, paraldehyde, sodium oxybate, or thalidomide, ramelteon can lead to side effects and should be avoided.

If you are taking rufinamide, a central nervous system depressant drug, or a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, ramelteon may not be a good option for you.
