What are the symptoms of infantile scoliosis?

If the infantile scoliosis is mild, the child will have no symptoms. The condition generally does not cause pain in infants. A child's back may be sore after prolonged sitting or standing, however. Children with infantile scoliosis typically have an uneven appearance to the shoulders and a curved shape to the backbone. Also, their clothes may not hang right.
