There are no negative effects of exercise for someone with schizophrenia, but you should talk to your doctor before starting any exercise program. According to research, people with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia can benefit from regular exercise. Physical activity can help relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety felt by people with schizophrenia. It can also help offset weight gain caused by some schizophrenia medications.
From what is known there are no known negative effects of exercise for someone who is schizophrenic.
