What should I do if I think my protective sports equipment is not working?

If the protective equipment is custom-fitted and was prescribed to you by a health professional, you should first talk to that person to determine whether that equipment is correct for you or if the equipment needs to be adjusted or fitted differently. Off-the-shelf protective equipment can pose a problem because there can be issues in determining the right size and whether the equipment will still be effective if it does not fit properly.
