If you are a healthy person who doesn't have any heart problems, lung problems or general issues such as hypertension, the reverse shoulder arthroplasty is an outpatient procedure. If you do have a lot of medical problems, the anesthesiologist would need to determine if you require about 24 hours of monitoring postoperatively just to make sure that there weren't any postoperative effects from the anesthesia.
