Indoor heat can aggravate rosacea and worsen symptoms. More than half of people with rosacea said that indoor heat had triggered flare-ups of their condition, according to a survey by the National Rosacea Society. Avoiding very hot rooms should be added to the list of good strategies for preventing rosacea flare-ups due to heat. These strategies also include taking lukewarm showers and baths, dressing in layers, and waiting for hot food and drinks to cool down slightly before consuming them.
