People who are diagnosed with rosacea typically don't have any trouble taking care of themselves. However, if you are responsible for someone with rosacea it's important to make sure they follow their treatment plan, especially if it affects their eyes (ocular rosacea). You may need to help identify triggers that make their rosacea worse as well. It is also important to make sure they are communicating with their doctor. That means they should be relaying important information such as the effectiveness of their treatment and the development of any side effects. People with rosacea may be very concerned about their appearance, and you can provide support and encouragement.
