While using tazarotene gel, you may experience skin irritation where you applied it. This can include burning, peeling, warmth, tingling, itching, stinging, scaling, dryness or swelling. If these side effects don't go away or get worse, contact your doctor. Call your doctor right away if you experience swelling of your hands or feet or if your psoriasis symptoms get worse. Call 911 for emergency medical help if you have symptoms of an allergic reaction to tazarotene gel, including hives, an itchy rash, swelling around your mouth or face, chest tightness and difficulty breathing.
