Does topical retinol interact with other medications?

Certain medications interact with topical retinol. Do not use topical retinol with other retinol or vitamin A supplements, or with other forms of alpha hydroxy acid, as too much vitamin A or retinol can cause vitamin A toxicity. If you are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy, speak with your doctor before using a topical retinol or vitamin A supplement. Usage of retinol and vitamin A may interfere with cancer treatments.
