Radiation fibrosis used to be considered untreatable, but doctors and scientists are currently working on new treatments that may be effective. Medicines with antioxidant properties and gene therapies have shown results. Symptoms may also be treated. Decrease in range of motion resulting from radiation fibrosis has been treated with injections of botulinum toxin. Talk to your doctor about what treatment options are right for you.
