Can restrictive lung disease be prevented?

Prevention of restrictive lung disease can't be assured, but you can do things to help reduce your risk, like avoid prolonged exposure to radiation therapy. If you avoid this level of exposure then you will avoid radiation fibrosis. Also, avoiding asbestos exposure, cigarette smoke, or any fume that causes inflammation of the lungs will help avoid restrictive lung disease.
