What are the side effects of desloratadine?

The more common, less serious side effects of desloratadine include: dry mouth, fatigue, stomach upset and diarrhea, headache, sore throat, cough and muscle pain. There are also some side effects that are more serious. These include irregularly fast or uneven heartbeat, jaundice, seizures or flu symptoms and fever. Allergic reaction is also one potential side effect of desloratadine. Signs of a severe allergic reaction include trouble breathing, facial swelling and hives. If you have these signs, this is a medical emergency. Call 911.
