What should I avoid while taking clemastine?

When taking clemastine, avoid driving or other activities that require alertness, concentration and quick response time until you know how clemastine will affect you. Drowsiness and dizziness are common side effects of clemastine. Do not drink alcohol while using clemastine. Alcohol consumption increases the risk of drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid becoming overheated; there's an increased risk for heat stroke while taking clemastine. Avoid using other medications that already contain clemastine.

Always read a medication's ingredient label to prevent taking too much clemastine. Also, avoid breastfeeding your infant if you're using clemastine. Clemastine can pass from mother to child through the breast milk. Also, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, the risks of clemastine to your unborn infant are not known. Therefore, you should not take the medication.
