What should I know about Clemastine Fumarate Syrup before taking it?

Elderly people who take Clemasine Fumarate Syrup may experience dizziness, hypotension, and sedation. You should not operate heavy equipment or motor vehicles until you know how you react to this medication. Sedatives and alcohol can intensify the effects of this drug. People with narrow angle glaucoma, stenosing, peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal obstruction, symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy, elevated intraocular pressure, hyperthyroidism, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and bladder neck obstruction must exercise caution while taking antihistamines. Breastfeeding women should be warned that this drug may pass through breast milk to a nursing infant. In both children and adults, coma, convulsions and cardiovascular collapse may occur. Incidences of death have been reported, especially in infants and children. Convulsions in children are often preceded by mild depression.
